Dowels are available in various diameters and lengths. Traditional steel dowels must be coated with a plastic sheath to prevent adhesion to the concrete. Our dowels are naturally smooth, automatically preventing adhesion to the concrete. This allows for controlled shrinkage and expansion of the pavement. Using dowels in concrete roads, for example, prevents concrete slabs from sinking relative to each other after the expansion joint has been cut.
